ISTD STUDENT CHAPTER The Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD), established in April 1970, is a national level professional & non-profit society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It has a large membership of individuals and institutions involved in the area of training and development of Human Resource.

ISTD has been registered with GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC VISAKHAPATNAM students. ISTD Student Chapter has been inaugurated on Feb 22nd 2023. This function has been inaugurated by Sri G .V.V Satyanarayana Murty, Principal of the institute and in the presence of ISTD student chapter chairman Visakhapatnam Dr. O Ram Mohan Rao and Honorary Secretary Dr. Hema Yadavalli.

Indian Society for Training and Development (ISTD) , organized a program on Communication Skills on 22.02.2023 at Government Polytechnic, Visakhapatnam. Chief Guest Dr Hema Yendavalli, honorary secretary ISTD, lead the program and presented a very good session on communication skills. More than hundred ISTD student chapter members have participated in the program.   ISTD Chairman and former General Manager of Steel Plant Dr. O Rammohan Rao, attended as a guest of honor in this meeting. The program was attended by various heads of departments and faculty of the college.
